We have decided to do a Platon style photoshoot, i picked my favourite Platon photos and tried my best to recreate/put my twist on it. Platon is a British photographer known for his intimate and deep portraits of many people in the public spotlight from politicians. musicians, actors, sports and more. He takes shots that are truly one of a kind and they will be very hard to recreate but i loved trying to recreate them using my college friends.
Here are the three Platon images i decided to recreate:
Image 1

I really loved this image of Jim Lehrer and it really inspired me to reinvent it using the usual studio lighting but also adding an extra few lights facing the camera.
Image 2

I really loved this one as i think it shows mental health and how stressful living in the 21st century is, this image is all about positioning and mood.

This photo looked so cool and i just love everything about it which is why i've decided i would love to recreate it.

This photo is very serious but also very informal at the same time because he is making the peace sign whilst remaining serious and composed in a full suit. Obviously i cant fully recreate this image as none of us are wearing full suits but i will try my best to recreate it as much as i can.

We used mainly high key lighting for these shots, this is an example of how we set it up. This creates a really beautifully lit scene for the model and the photographer.
