Obviously there are many many more but I have just named a few of the most commonly used.

How do we record audio?

You can record audio on many different devices from your phone to your computer to specialist devices costing thousands of pounds and microphones.

Foley

Foley is the reproduction of everyday sound effects that are added to film, video, and other media in post-production to enhance audio quality. These sounds can be anything from a rustle of clothing/material to breaking glass and screeching car tires.

To most of the audience Foley art in film goes unnoticed because it is that realistic and takes a lot of time to create.
